Visit Cambridge is the official Destination Marketing / Management Organisation (DMO) for Cambridge. Promoting Cambridge – and its businesses, events and uniqueness – is what we do. We are a small team, but we strive to make a big impact – taking our extensive knowledge of Cambridge to a local, national and international audience. Cambridge undoubtedly has an international reputation, attracting over 8m visitors a year but did you know that nearly 90% of those visitors only stay a few hours.

Since 2022 the Visit Cambridge team within Cambridge BID has been working hard to encourage overnight stays. Our 2023 Volume & Value Report showed overnight stays were up 14.1% in 2023 compared to 2022 whilst day trips grew by 0.71% in the same period. The key to growing overnight stays is to remain visible – ensuring everything you know and love about Cambridge is represented through our work.

We want to work with a range of businesses across Cambridge and Cambridgeshire to expand and enhance our activity – to ensure we are making your business as visible as possible and in doing so encouraging longer stays in our area . We work closely with Visit England and Visit Britain and are ETOA members via the England Historic Cities partnership. We are serious about working collectively to grow the Visitor Economy, to encourage visitors to stay longer and explore more. We will continue to work with partners to ensure our place is at the heart of everything we do. Being part of Cambridge BID and working in partnership with Cambridge City Council gives us a huge advantage – together we can ensure that Cambridge as a place to live, work and visit continues to thrive and we’d like to invite you to join us.
